Contactless offertory giving

Tap-to-give that stays in your parish's hands.

Stewardvine is software for attended, contactless giving at Mass. Donations settle directly and in full into your parish's own Square account — the parish is the merchant of record, and Stewardvine never touches the money.

No new hardware — a volunteer holds an iPhone. Works alongside your existing Square account and church management software.

The load-bearing promise

Stewardvine is software. Your money never leaves your account.

Every part of Stewardvine is designed around one architectural fact: the gift goes from the donor to your parish's own Square account, and Stewardvine is never in between.

  • Directly and in full. Square settles donations into the parish's account — Stewardvine does not use Square's app-fee split, so nothing is deducted from a gift.
  • A separate invoice. Stewardvine bills a ~1% software service fee monthly, on its own invoice — never carved out of donations.
  • No custody, ever. Stewardvine does not accept, hold, escrow, or transmit donor funds. It is not a bank, money transmitter, or payment processor.

[to be finalized]

A short, plain walkthrough of a gift at Mass — from the tap to the reconciliation export your finance council can tie to the bank.

Why finance councils choose Stewardvine

Built for the way parishes actually handle the offertory.

The funds stay yours

Donations settle into your parish's own Square account. Because the account and the funds belong to the parish, your giving continues independently of Stewardvine.

One transparent fee

A ~1% software service fee, shown as a separate line from Square's processing fee — never a single blended headline number, and never deducted from a gift.

No new hardware

A volunteer holds an iPhone using the Square Mobile Payments SDK and Tap to Pay on iPhone. No terminals, no kiosks, no stands to buy or store.

You own your donor data

Your donor records are yours to export at any time. Stewardvine does not sell or share donor data, and gives you one-click portability.

Narrow security footprint

Card numbers are captured inside Apple's Secure Element and encrypted directly to Square. They never touch Stewardvine's servers.

Reconciles to the bank

Exports map line-by-line to Square deposit batches, so your count sheets and finance-council reports tie out — aligned with USCCB reconciliation guidance.

Full walkthrough

A volunteer holds an iPhone

Attended only. A staff member or volunteer presents the device during or after the offertory — respecting the ritual and dignity of the basket, not replacing it.

The donor taps to give

Card, phone, or watch. One-time or recurring. The donor sees an instant on-screen confirmation — a transaction record, not a tax receipt.

Square settles it to your account

The gift lands in the parish's own Square account. Stewardvine records the donation metadata and produces reconciliation exports — and never touches the funds.

For parishes

Serve the cashless parishioner without losing the basket.

Fewer people carry cash or a checkbook. Stewardvine meets younger and visiting parishioners where they are, while your existing count and deposit routines stay intact.

For dioceses

A vendor your parishes and your chancery can both trust.

Approved-vendor positioning, a diocesan DPA, and optional roll-up visibility across parishes — all without the diocese or Stewardvine ever taking custody of parish funds.

Pricing

Two fees, always shown separately.

We never blend Square's processing fee with Stewardvine's software fee into one number. Here is a $100 gift, in plain terms.

Donation $100.00
→ Square processing ~$2.75  (paid to Square, settled in your parish's account)
→ Stewardvine service fee ~$1.00  (separate monthly invoice from Stewardvine)
Stewardvine never touches the donation.
